Different Goals for Different Curves…
SpineCor Treatment is for the management of Idiopathic and Degenerative Scoliosis in Adults and Children, and for certain syndrome-related Scoliosis curves.
In children, SpineCor Treatment will reduce curve size, prevent curve progression or delay curve progression depending upon the size, flexibility and pre-treatment duration of the curve, and the age, maturity and compliance of the patient.
In adults, SpineCor Treatment will reduce back pain, improve posture and delay or prevent curve progression depending upon the size, degeneration and flexibility of the curve, and the age and compliance of the patient.
Patient Suitability…

Treatment Protocols…
If a SpineCor Brace is prescribed children will continue to use this until they stop growing and for a minimum of 18 months. The brace will be worn for 20 hours per day and they will be reviewed according to the Paediatric protocol.
Adults using a SpineCor Brace will receive treatment for as long as their symptoms persist, with the brace initially being worn for 8-12 hours per day. The goal is to stop using the brace or reduce to a maintenance level over an 18 month period whilst following the Adult protocol.
There is no specific protocol to follow when administering exercises.
SpineCor® Brace Design Details…
Stretch-resistant body-contoured bolero

The Multi-adjustable pelvic harness has seven adjustable closures to provide a fully customisable fit that can easily be changed in size as the patient does.
The open harness design provides easy access for toileting.
Stretch-resistant body-contoured bolero
The Velcro clips provide an easy corrective band attachment solution for older fingers, yet provide a stable alternative to the stainless steel snaps.
The Pelvic Shorts provide a convenient semi-adjustable alternative to a pelvic harness. The tensionable pelvic belt and low-stretch fabric allow some alteration in size to suit the needs of the patient.
The semi-open crotch design provides access for toileting.
Full Bolero jacket design offers comfort and control of movement
Power bands with greater widths and higher performance elastic provide greater control and durability than the standard corrective bands
Stretch fabric shorts with an adjustable belt allow a greater expansion than the Pelvic shorts to accommodate a larger increase in patient size.
The semi-open crotch design provides access for toileting.

Computer Guided
The interactive SAS-WEB application provides support in your clinic and a gateway to SpineCor technical experts. Using mathematical algorithms it will assist in the classification of the patient’s curve pattern and guide you through the treatment process. Your assigned trainer will be on hand to review the data entries and provide assistance.
The administering of SpineCor exercises is guided by PhysioTec, an online library of scoliosis specific exercises.
